Gothic plate armour (German: Gotischer Plattenpanzer) is a type of steel plate armor made in the Holy Roman Empire during the 15th Century. With its beautiful design and movable jointed sections, it was arguably the pinnacle of plate armor development in terms of technology and aesthetics. It is usually combined with a pointed Sallet helmet.
